Javier E. Otero is a strategic communications leader and creative technologist based in Chicago, working at the intersection of storytelling, design, and systems innovation.
With over two decades of experience shaping multichannel strategies for mission-driven organizations, Javier helps institutions clarify their voice, grow audiences, and build cultural relevance at scale. His work blends brand architecture, content strategy, UX design, and digital systems to drive impact across platforms.
Javier is the founder of Futurehaus, an award-winning studio. He has led initiatives for organizations such as the Field Museum, World Wildlife Fund, MIT, Braven, the Clara Lionel Foundation, Cure Rare Disease, and the Pat Tillman Foundation. His work supported over $23M in fundraising outcomes in 2024 alone and has been recognized by the Apple Design Awards, Webby Awards, and Anthem Awards.
Javier currently serves as a Board Member at the Chicago Artists Coalition and an Executive Member & Juror for the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
