Javier E. Otero
Javier E. Otero is an artist, designer, and creative technologist based in Chicago. His work moves between drawing, design, and systems, exploring how structure and story help us see one another more clearly.
With over two decades of experience across art, technology, and cultural strategy, Javier’s practice bridges studio work with collaborations for foundations, higher education, and emerging ventures. He helps ideas take shape in ways that invite understanding and dialog, using design and storytelling as extensions of his visual language.
He is the founder of Futurehaus, an award-winning studio that creates digital and in-person experiences for mission-driven organizations. His leadership has guided initiatives for World Wildlife Fund, MIT, Braven, the Clara Lionel Foundation, the Pat Tillman Foundation, and other partners across culture, education, and innovation. His work has been recognized by the Apple Design Awards, Webby Awards, and Anthem Awards.
Javier serves as a Board Member at the Chicago Artists Coalition and as an Executive Member & Juror for the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, where he helps honor creativity that moves culture forward.
